Brisbane Technology Park
Symbio moves to the next level at BTP

Symbio Alliance has recently purchased Lot 6 in Brisbane Technology Park to build and operate a new laboratory facility in addition to their current premise at 44 Brandl Street. Since entering the Park in 2005, Symbio has achieved substantial growth resulting in the need for increased capacity both for existing clients and
planned expansion.

Business Development Director, David Phillips stated that the new facility will be approximately 2.5 times the size of their existing operation. “It will allow us to provide dedicated environmental, pharmaceutical and Ag-Vet analytical testing services in addition to our existing food and agricultural testing.” Phillips said. Building should commence shortly with completion likely to be around July 2010.

Upon completion, Symbio will lease their existing facility, which would obviously be suitable for anyone requiring an established laboratory operation.

‘We recently set up a separate company, Symbio Development Corporation. It provides a dedicated research development service for new test methods to both Symbio Alliance and other parties.” Phillips said.

Together with a substantial capital expenditure program this will position Symbio as one of the most technologically advanced commercial laboratories in Australia for the provision of ‘high-end’ residue testing services across a broad range of industries.

Therapeutic Goods Accreditation will be sought for the new facility. It will also hold the existing NATA accreditation, APVMA license and AQIS approvals for both imported and exported food testing.

Anyone requiring contract testing services for new product development or for ongoing analysis should not hesitate to contact Symbio Alliance.
